Army Experience

Shamar S. White is a three time Combat Veteran, serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq.  Inspried to serve after 9/11 Shamar enlisted in the United States Army.  She was assigned as an Administrative Specialist for the 1/17 Air Calavrly, in the elite and legendary 82nd Airborne Division.  As an esteemed Paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne Division, Shamar completed 15 Airborne jumps, and served in Iraq and Afaghanistan.

 

Shamar continued her drive to be a leader and became an Engineer Officer.  Stationed in Oahu, Hawaii, Shamar traveled through the Pacific conducting engagements with other nations to include, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Korea. In Shamar's third and final deployment, she was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritourious achievement in a combat zone. Following that deployment, Shamar resigned as a Capatin from the Army, to pursue her dream of  being a writer.
